Abstract:
Information technologies of the current era enable the emergency management and planning to be very effective. The vast amount of information needed for a proper decision making can be stored, maintained, retrieved, analysed and used in other ways by advanced emergency information systems. There are many of types of these systems over the world. Due to the international character of the major disasters and due to the need to share and interchange the information among different forces (police, firemen, ambulance, army, ...) and among various nations the interoperability issue is very important. The interoperability issue has to be solved in other areas. The article describes a possible solution for the emergency management systems.
