Abstract:
This report is a resource that disaster public educators can use at every level of their organization and community to enhance, initiate or evaluate their programs. It summarizes participants’ suggestions and experiences offering concepts, ideas, and examples what others are doing, for adaptation to any community. Included are reports on public education activities, lessons learned, tips for leveraging resources, next steps to take, a variety of resources for information, and how-to kits for making our communities more disaster resistant and our people more prepared.
