| Abstract: We are at war and do not have the professional level of response and command necessary for the successful mitigation of emergency events we all expect. We are the professionals - Fire, EMS, Law, Disaster Management, and researchers. There is a necessity for the development of a certification program recognized internationally which produces a level of competency far exceeding the current level of "due care" found and accepted during an extreme event response. The Certified Extreme Event's Professional (CEEP) is such a program. | |||
