Implications for the Emergency Management Professional

August 25, 2010

EMForum.org was pleased to host a one hour presentation and interactive discussion Wednesday, August 25, 2010. Our topic was a book published earlier this year, The Human Side of Disaster.

Based on the author’s years of research and teaching experience, the book scientifically evaluates human responses in the face of disasters. This examination informs emergency managers and response teams and teaches them how to anticipate human behaviors in-crisis, by highlighting the role of the human element in any disaster situation and demonstrating how to use that element as part of a planned disaster response.
